Hi C.. The board can support Windows XP. Is the storage controller set to IDE, AHCI or RAID.
Upgraded to Windows 7 x64. Installed the latest Chipset driver: V9111019 from the ASUS site. I get the yellow triangle next to the ATK0110 ACPI Utility on the on.

It most certainly is possible to install XP with slipstreamed AHCI chipset drivers. Because you can t doesn t mean it s not possible.
On my XP install in the device manager I have the following under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
Intel R Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
When I go to the properties of said controller, on the Driver tab is the following:

So, yes, AHCI is enabled, and XP was installed this way. I didn t install in IDE legacy mode and then install the drivers afterward. This is a native slipstreamed XP SP3, AHCI chipset drivers install.
